Mumma Surname DNA Testing Project

Sign-Up Form

You can read about the Mumma (and alternate spellings) Surname DNA Testing Project and the current results at http://www.mumma.org/dna/DNA.htm. The results of these DNA tests will help determine how the various "unconnected" Mumma family trees connect to one of the original Mumma progenitors who arrived in America between 1731 & 1748. The initial testing has shown that the Mumma/Moomaw/Mumaw familes of America descend from the Momma families of Germany. Additional testing continues to help unravel and identify various branches in America and the specific origins of our Momma ancestors in Europe.

If you are a male with a Mumma surname (or alternate spelling), please consider signing up and participating in the Mumma Surname DNA Project. Just fill out the form below. We are currently using the 37 marker test as the standard for the MUMMA project. Don't forget to hit the "sign me up now" button at the bottom of the page when you are finished. I will contact you personally and send you a DNA test kit. If you would prefer, you may contact FTDNA directly at http://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.asp?code=J26528. This is the DNA testing company that is being used. A typical test kit can be viewed at http://www.familytreedna.com/kit.html
